App Privacy Policy

The Awal Studio app is a publishing tool operated by Awal Studio. Awal Studio's team uses it to publish videos to, and manage engagement on, the Facebook Pages, TikTok accounts and YouTube channels that Awal Studio owns or manages. The app has no public sign-up; only people authorised by Awal Studio can connect an account to it. See also our Terms of Service.

What information the app uses

• Access tokens for the connected accounts, granted by the account owner or administrator through the platform's own login and consent screen. Tokens are stored only on Awal Studio's own computers and used only for the purposes below.
• Basic profile information of the connected account (account ID, display name, avatar), shown so the person publishing can confirm which account they are posting to.
• Metadata of the videos Awal Studio publishes (video ID, caption, privacy setting, publish time, status), kept to avoid publishing the same video twice.
• Public comments on Awal Studio's own posts (comment text, the commenter's public display name and the comment time), read so Awal Studio can reply, like comments and measure the overall tone of feedback on its own content.
• Aggregate performance statistics of Awal Studio's own posts (views, plays, reactions, watch time, follower counts).

The app does not collect private messages, contact lists, location, or any data from people's own accounts. It does not use cookies, advertising identifiers or tracking, it does not build profiles of individual people, and it does not sell or share any data with third parties.

How the information is used

Solely to upload and publish Awal Studio's own videos to the connected accounts, to reply to and like comments on those videos, and to produce internal reports on how the content performs. Comment analysis is used only in aggregate (for example, the share of positive and negative comments per channel).

TikTok

When a TikTok account is connected, the app uses TikTok's official APIs only to read the connected account's basic profile information and to publish videos chosen by the person publishing, with the caption and privacy setting they choose before posting. Data received from TikTok is used only for that purpose and is not shared with anyone. Access can be revoked at any time in the TikTok app under Settings and privacy → Security → Manage app permissions.

Data retention

Publishing records and comment data are kept for as long as the accounts are operated, and comment data older than 12 months is deleted. Access tokens are replaced when they expire and are deleted when access is revoked.

Data deletion

If you believe the app holds data about you (for example a comment you left on one of our posts) and you want it removed, email info@awalstudio.com with the subject “Data deletion – Awal Studio app”. We will confirm and delete any such data within 30 days. You can also remove the app's access at any time: on Facebook in Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites, on TikTok in Settings and privacy → Security → Manage app permissions, and on Google at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
