Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to services, project-based work, digital products, and other deliverables provided by Awal Studio. By approving a quotation, making a payment, purchasing a product, or continuing a project with us, you agree to these terms.

Effective date: June 4, 2026

1. Scope of Work

Project-based services are delivered according to the approved quotation, proposal, sales order, invoice, or written agreement. The agreed scope may include deliverables, timeline, revision rounds, file formats, licensing terms, and payment milestones.

Any request outside the approved scope may require additional fees and a revised timeline. To discuss a project, please use our Contact Us page.

2. Quotations & Project Approval

A project is considered approved when the client accepts a quotation, confirms a sales order, sends written approval, or makes the required initial payment. Awal Studio may use Odoo to manage quotations, invoices, project tasks, and delivery records.

3. Payment Terms

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, project-based work is billed by milestone. A typical structure is deposit, progress payment, and final payment. Work may begin after the required deposit or initial payment is received.

  • Final files and deliverables are released after full payment has been completed.
  • Smaller projects may require full payment upfront.
  • Larger projects may use custom milestone schedules stated in the quotation.
  • Late payment may delay production, review, or final delivery.

4. Project Workflow

Awal Studio generally manages project-based work in three phases: Brief & Scope, Production & Review, and Final Delivery. The exact workflow may vary depending on the service type and approved scope.

5. Revisions

Unless stated otherwise in the quotation, each project includes up to two rounds of minor revisions within the approved direction.

  • Minor revisions are adjustments to the approved concept or direction.
  • Major changes, new directions, or additional deliverables may be quoted separately.
  • Revision requests must be consolidated and submitted clearly to keep the timeline on track.

6. Delivery & Timeline

Estimated timelines are stated in the quotation or agreed in writing. Timelines may change if feedback, content, approvals, or required materials are delayed. Editable/source files are included only when explicitly stated in the quotation.

7. Digital Products

Digital products, including fonts, courses, templates, downloads, or other digital assets, may be sold through the Awal Studio shop or other approved channels. Access, downloads, or license files are provided after successful payment unless stated otherwise.

Digital product purchases are generally non-refundable once access or download has been delivered, except where required by applicable law or where Awal Studio confirms a technical delivery issue that cannot be resolved.

8. Font Licensing & Usage Rights

Font purchases and font-related deliverables are governed by the applicable license terms or End User License Agreement (EULA). Purchasing or receiving a font does not transfer copyright ownership unless explicitly agreed in writing.

The client is responsible for choosing the correct license for their intended usage, including desktop, web, app, broadcast, logo, or other usage categories where applicable. For licensing questions, please contact us before purchasing.

9. Ownership & Portfolio Use

Ownership or usage rights for final approved project deliverables transfer to the client only after full payment has been received, subject to the agreed license terms. Awal Studio retains ownership of unused concepts, drafts, process work, internal methods, and pre-existing materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Awal Studio may display completed work in its portfolio, website, social media, case studies, or promotional materials unless the client requests confidentiality in writing and Awal Studio agrees.

10. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing accurate information, content, references, brand assets, technical requirements, timely feedback, and approvals. Delays or incomplete materials may affect the project schedule.

11. Third-Party Assets & Intellectual Property

Projects may involve third-party assets such as fonts, stock images, icons, plugins, software, or design libraries. Any third-party licensing requirements will be handled according to the quotation or agreed separately.

The client confirms that materials they provide do not infringe third-party rights and may be used by Awal Studio for the project.

12. Cancellation & Refunds

Because project-based services involve reserved time and creative work, payments are non-refundable once work has started unless otherwise agreed in writing. If a project is cancelled after work begins, the client remains responsible for work completed and costs incurred up to the cancellation date.

13. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential business information, documents, project materials, and non-public information shared during the engagement, unless disclosure is required by law or approved in writing.

14. Data Protection

Awal Studio uses client data only for communication, project delivery, invoicing, support, and lawful business administration. Client data will not be sold or shared with unrelated third parties without consent, unless required by law. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

15. Limitation of Liability

Awal Studio will make reasonable efforts to deliver high-quality work according to the approved scope. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Awal Studio is not liable for indirect losses, business interruption, lost profits, or third-party claims arising from the use of delivered work.

16. Force Majeure

Awal Studio is not responsible for delays or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, infrastructure failures, illness, government actions, platform outages, or other force majeure events.

17. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any dispute will first be handled through good-faith discussion. If unresolved, the dispute may proceed through the appropriate legal forum in Indonesia.
