1. Choose your styles

Every font product gives you two ways to choose the styles you are licensing:

• Preset Bundles are ready-made packages sold at one flat price. They are usually the better value when you need more than a few styles.
• Individual Styles let you select only the exact static weights you need. This is usually cheaper when you need one or two styles.

If a font includes a variable font, it will be listed separately or included in a bundle on that font's product page.

2. Choose your license tier

Every tier covers the same types of use. The tier changes only according to the total size of the licensed organization.

What counts as your organization?

Your organization is the legal entity named at purchase, together with each parent company, subsidiary, or affiliate under common ownership or control that installs, accesses, embeds, or directly uses the font. Count all people in each covered legal entity, not only one office, department, or design team. An affiliate that never accesses or uses the font does not need to be counted.

Temporary contractors and production vendors do not increase your tier and do not need a separate license when they use the font only for your project under the conditions below. The licensed organization remains responsible for their use.

If your organization grows beyond its tier, you can upgrade instantly from My Licensed Fonts — you pay only the price difference, and you never need to repurchase the same font styles. If you'd rather have us handle it, contact us within 30 days and we'll help you upgrade the license to cover the larger organization.

What every tier covers

Cloud storage, backups, and internal servers

You may keep the font in private cloud storage, private repositories, asset management systems, or internal servers that are accessible only to people working for the licensed organization. You may also make reasonable backup copies for archival and disaster-recovery purposes. These systems must not make the font publicly accessible or available to unrelated organizations.

Contractors and production vendors

Contractors working exclusively on behalf of the licensed organization may access the font during the engagement and are treated as part of that organization for that work. You may also temporarily provide the font to a printer or production vendor solely to complete your job. In both cases, the recipient must keep the font secure, use it only for your project, delete it when the work ends, and not retain a copy afterward.

Editable files and templates

You may sell or share flattened, rasterized, or outlined designs, including social media templates. If an editable AI, INDD, Figma, Canva, presentation, or other source file requires the font to remain installed or embedded, every recipient who edits that file must hold an appropriate license. The font file may not be packaged with a template unless we give written permission.

Open-source projects

You may use the font while developing an open-source project, but the font files must stay outside the public repository and public distribution. If your project needs to distribute the font itself, contact us for separate permission.

Every ordinary commercial use is included. Separate written permission is needed only when the font itself becomes a platform feature, training asset, or distributable component.

SaaS and user-generated content

You may use the font in the interface of a hosted service and to render text that end users can view, provided they cannot access or extract the font. A SaaS, design, typesetting, or content-creation product that lets end users actively select the font to create editable or downloadable designs requires separate written permission from Awal Studio.

AI and machine learning

You may use the font in ordinary finished design work created with the help of AI-assisted tools, provided the font software and its underlying data are not uploaded, supplied, retained, or used by the AI system for training or model development.

You may not use or provide the font files, outlines, glyph data, character sets, metadata, or rendered samples for dataset creation, machine-learning training, fine-tuning, evaluation, typeface generation, typeface reconstruction, or similar AI development without prior written permission from Awal Studio. If your project involves any of these activities, contact us to discuss a separate agreement before proceeding.

Clients, logos, and trademarks

An agency, studio, or freelancer may use the font to create finished work for a client, including logos and brand identities. The client may own and register a trademark in the finished logo or artwork, but receives no ownership or exclusive rights in the font itself.

A client does not need a separate license when receiving only finished, flattened, rasterized, or outlined artwork. If the client receives the font, installs it, embeds it on their website, or continues editing files that require it, the client must obtain a license in their own name.

Education discount

Active students and educators receive 50% off the Individual tier for personal educational work. The discount does not cover work performed for a company, agency, client, or institution.

1. On the product page, select “I'm a student or educator” and submit your institution details and institutional email.
2. We will email a single-use coupon valid for 12 months. Apply it to the font product of your choice.

Ownership

Awal Studio retains all copyright and intellectual property rights in the font software. Purchasing a license grants you permission to use it under these terms; it does not transfer ownership of the font, its source files, or its underlying design.

Modifying the font

You may not modify, adapt, rename, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, convert, or create derivative versions of the font software without prior written permission from Awal Studio. This includes changing outlines, glyphs, spacing, kerning, hinting, weights, features, character sets, or language coverage, and converting the font into another format.

If you need additional glyphs, language support, technical optimization, format adaptation, or another custom version, contact Awal Studio. We can provide the modification as a custom service or grant written permission where appropriate. Any approved modified version remains subject to this license and may not be sold, sublicensed, shared, or redistributed unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

Transfer and organizational changes

The license is issued to the person or organization named at purchase and may not be transferred without our written consent. If your organization is acquired, merged, reorganized, or renamed, contact us so we can review the coverage and reissue or upgrade the license where needed.

No warranty

The font is provided “as is,” without express or implied warranty, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. See our Terms & Conditions for the applicable limitation of liability and governing law.

Term, breach, termination, and refunds

The license is perpetual once purchased. If a breach can be corrected, Awal Studio will notify the licensee and provide 30 days to remedy it. Immediate termination may apply to intentional resale, sublicensing, redistribution, or unauthorized public distribution of the font software.

When the license ends, the licensee must stop all future use of the font software and delete every copy in its possession or control. Termination does not require the destruction or recall of finished, non-editable works lawfully created before termination, unless required by applicable law or agreed otherwise in writing.

Digital font purchases are non-refundable once the files have been downloaded, except where required by applicable law or expressly stated in our Terms & Conditions.
