Process
A convincing sketch is only the beginning. A typeface becomes useful through repeated drawing, spacing, testing, interpolation, language support, and production work.
Designing the system
Each character must work on its own and as part of a larger rhythm. Testing in real text reveals spacing problems, weight inconsistencies, and details that are easy to miss in isolated drawings.
